After sitting submerged in up to 8 feet of water courtesy of Hurricane Katrina, Six Flags New Orleans is rotting and rusting its way back to nature. And the pictures of the park’s present state are simply stunning.

No, this isn’t a hiking trail that was flooded during a natural disaster, it’s an Austrian area actually always under a lake during the summer. Then, during the winter, the park is dry and a favorite hiking location for locals.

Stock images are useful for writers and editors who need an illustration to illustrate their article. When the island of Monterrat was victimized by a volcanic explosion, everyone in the town of Plymouth was ordered to evacuate and the town was declared an exclusion zone. Since that time, the residents still have not been able to visit their homes. Unsurprisingly, images of the damage are striking and utterly fascinating.
