Decisions Decisions Contest!

3651560478_5f5979717dFew of you know this, but I have the sick, self-loathing drive to be a stand up comedian. As a result, I get annoyed when people try really hard to be funny and just fall flat…it’s double when the person is a woman because I am annoyed with how unfunny women tend to be.

Anyway, I was listening to the radio this morning and they had a contest where the person with the funniest reasons for their answers to two questions would win a prize. The contestant’s answers were miserable. I know I could do way better and I think you readers could as well.

So, the first person with answers I deem to be funnier than my own will receive a prize -be sure to leave your real email in the comments so I can contact you for your address and whatnot.

Here’s the questions:

What’s the best invention: a hot tub or an internal combustion engine? Same question only: the internet, condoms or birth control?

My answers: An engine is better because it’s a lot easier to clean sperm out of it. The internet’s better because my vibrator is completely useless with the other two.

Can you beat it?

Terribly Translated Splog

I got a trackback today from a post that blatantly stole my Neatorama content. Funny enough, I think it was translated into Thai before they put it back into English and the language is horrible. It’s too funny.

As farther as merch goes, here’s a enthusiastic place on things acquirable there at Boing Boing Gadgets, digit for the colossus Stitch radical toys on display, and digit for general stuff seen at the con. And digit for things terminal year.

Lastly, if you meet poverty to wager whatever more cute girls at Comic Con, there’s digit for that too.

I’d put a link up so you could read the whole thing, but I don’t want to give them extra SEO power. If you want to read it, just copy the text above and paste it into google…it’s pretty funny.

Comic Con Costumes From 2009

You know I always bring you great Comic Con coverage and to that end, here is a huge gallery of costumes from this year’s convention.

The one on the left was a booth babe and the girls on the right were best friends ever taking on The Fifth Element.

IMG_5979IMG_5981

Here’s Astro Boy’s stilted nemesis and two necromancers from The Venture Brothers.

IMG_5982IMG_5985

There were more great steam punk outfits this year than ever before. And, there was also this one really great Rainbow Brite costume.

IMG_5987IMG_5994

Boo had a great costume.

P7230026

This girl was helping to promote the Girls Drawing Girls booth and her costume was just adorable.

P7230027P7230029

Here were some pros. The girls had a bit of an attitude, but Catwoman and Batman were great.

P7230061P7230063

I loved this girl’s outfit. As for the gentleman on the right…I don’t even know what to say.

P7230085P7240087

Here were two great couple costumes. If only Luke wasn’t on the phone at the time.

P7240088P7240102

These costumes were just plain cute. I love how the one on the left was actually inflated and as for Pikachu, I’m always a huge fan.

P7240097P7240094

Uh oh, sexy princess time! Thank goodness Super Domo is here to protect us.

P7240103P7240105

The Nixon costume was just perfect and the blurriness on the Scarecrow costume actually had me thinking I was falling under his trance for a second.

P7240109P7240110

Dalek girl was very cute and clever. And you know what? I found Waldo with no trouble!

P7240114P7250115

Sand people love boobs! (Then again, who doesn’t?)

P7250116P7250118

If Wonder Woman wasn’t busy taking so many pictures, she may have been able to help this guy get the face sucker off, but alas, it was not meant to be.

P7250120P7250126

Loved the Heroes booth girls -especially the fact that they gave away a car. As for the Sponge Bob girl, she was absolutely one of my favorites!

P7250127P7250131

The Japanese super heroes were fantastic, but this bionic man was just scary.

P7250132P7250137

Three, count them, three Princess Peaches! What luck!

P7250138

Another great steam punk girl and on the right, Captain Morgan and Tits McGee.

P7250139P7250141

Zombie attack…if only this guy got there in time.

P7250143P7250147

I don’t know where this big yellow guy was from, but he was freaking adorable…so was the girl, but not in the same way at all.

P7250148P7250149

Super group ahead!

P7250150

Ravers were back this year, why, I don’t know. The woman on the right actually makes clothes for people and their matching Barbies! What luck!

P7250151P7250154

Beatlejuice Beatlejuice Boobiejuice…wait.

P7260001P7260004

Funny how the goth girls look like The Crow, without even trying.

P7260005P7260013

This girl’s dress was made by grandma…how sweet.

P7260014

One of these things is not like the other…

Cool Merch & Exhibits At Comic Con 2009

Looking for something cute to poop on? How about Hello Kitty toilet paper?

IMG_5980

These Zip-A-Gang toys are tons of fun. They all feature cool zippers on their mouths and the giant back pack versions can be undone to unveil a  stylin’ sleeping bag.

If you’re a big fan of Star Wars, you may enjoy these re-envisioned storm trooper toys.

IMG_5992

But perhaps you’re more of a Sponge Bob fan. There were two to choose from this year, regular or Lego.

P7230081P7240099

I don’t even know what this guy is from, but his huge inflatable booth presence was impossible to ignore.

P7250122

Personally, I’m a big fan of Wolverine, and the life-sized wax sculpture didn’t disappoint.

P7250128

All weekend long, fans flocked around this giant Transformer statue. It was pretty impressive at a massive 10+ feet.

P7260007

This Lord Voldermort statue was also massively impressive.

P7260008

Boba Fett also looked pretty scary. No M.C. Chris songs for this big guy.

P7260009

Lastly, but not least(ly), was the famed Dalek from Dr. Who at the BBC booth.

Giant Stitch Vinyl Toys -Comic Con

I love these vinyl Stitch toys on display at Comic Con 2009. I have to admit, he’s one of my favorite Disney characters and to see his body be turned into so many awesome pieces of art was just plain fascinating.

Speaking of Etsy

il_430xN.80264060

I recently added a bunch of my own items to my store, including the credit card earrings above and more of your favorite bacon bath salts. Stop by and take a look. They may not be as fun as this list of seriously bizarre Etsy items, but they’re all affordable and your purchase will support the blog.
