I ran across this girl’s site on MySpace and I’m in love with her hats. They are so cute and playful. Although they look very Japanese street chic, they’re made by hand, right here in the USA.

This shoe, created by Adam Brandejs to protest the sweatshop labor used by Nike, is made of (fake) human skin. It looks super real and pretty sickening. The effect is created from latex protethesis cast from the artist’s skin. Did I mention it’s animatronic?

These snow globes seen on InventorSpot are so creepy and strange, they are fantastic. Look at the whole series here.
Just a thought though, as much as kids like snowglobes, it may be a good idea to put these out of their hands. Most kids do not enjoy the thought of getting thrown down a well or eaten by a giant spider.
I wrote this story a while ago, but I think it still depicts our modern society and human vs. corporate interactions. Let me know what you think if you read it all -it is rather long.
