Do teh interwbz maek u smartz?

Friday, October 17th, 2008

New studies have shown that navigating the web can improve your ability to make complex decisions and are better decision makers (could it be all those banner ads asking us to choose Brittany Spears or Hillary Duff to win a free iPod?) It seems web browsing actually stimulates the mind more than just reading standard books.

Whatever it is, it’s changing our brains and it’s awesome. I feel smarter just reading this and this.

One of the best sites on the internet, Pandora.com is likely going to be shut down soon. Consumerist has the scoop. Music fans around the nation should be upset today. They had one of the best new music recomendation engines ever created and royalties are crushing them. Tears.

Comic Con Interviews With Adult Swim & G4 Cartoonist

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Hi all,

I wanted to let you know that at Comic Con I have interviews with the creators of the new Strong Bad videogame (I’ll also be demo-ing it).

I also will be interviewing Adam De La Pena, the creator and writer of Code Monkeys and Minoriteam.

If you have anything you’d like me to ask these people, let me know so I can add the questions to my notes. Thanks!

UPDATE: The interview with Adam of Code Monkeys is not going to happen at this Comic Con. Sorry to disappoint.

Buy A Buddy A Beer -Online

Friday, June 27th, 2008

I have to say, I think yougotbeer.com is a brilliant idea. You can now buy anyone across the country a beer that they can redeem wherever they live. Huge places like TGIFridays, Chilli’s and Bennigan’s take part in the program, so no matter where you are, there’s probably a place to redeem your brew.

Buy your interweb or WOW buddies a drink, hooray!

Personally, I’d rather see a cocktail one, but this is a good start.
